Almond Roca. Where can I find this candy?

Hi Chowhounders -

An unconventional question, but to a group of people who can definitely tell me the answer. After all, you all helped me find bacon cupcakes earlier!

I have a request from friends who live abroad to bring a tin of Almond Roca - the toffee candy that is dipped in chocolate and rolled in chopped almonds. It is typically found in a pink tin and wrapped individually in 1" logs in gold foil.

I've searched a number of stores and candy shops in search of this treat to bring with me, but so far I've not been successful. Any one know where I can by a tin of these goodies?

Many thanks.

Go to Chinatown in NYC and go to any of the larger Asian food markets. Can't miss them!

The larger grocery stores in Chinatown should definitely have them.

It might be helpful to list where you've already searched for it. It seems to be more popular on the West coast and less so on the East Coast.

Oddly enough, the "product finder" on Walgreens.com says the Union Square Walgreens has it.

I know it is very popular with Chinese people so I'd go to Chinatown to look as well.

Did you try Google? A simple search shows: its own online store, CVS, Walgreens, Costco, Amazon.
