Daddy's Burritos
Someone just recommended that I settle in with a burrito from Daddy's to watch the game on Thursday.
I googled it and came up with a place on Adams -- I guess that's the place.
Anyone ever eat a burrito at Daddy's? Is Adams the Daddy's someone would recommend?
(The rec came on another message board, fwiw.)

I don't know if they are affiliated, but there used to be a Daddy's Burritos on Santa Monica near Federal in West Los Angeles. If they are, the thing that characterized *that* Daddy's was that they put roasted potatoes in the burritos and they were huge. Don't remember them being particularly outstanding, especially given all the other options, but it's always worth a try!

There is a Daddy's Burritos BBQ on Santa Monica.
Thanks Dana -- that must be it. (If I try them, I'll review it.)

Hi.. I thought the old Daddy's Burrito was located at the corner of SMB and Bundy, next to the Oddysey Theatre (old location). That had to be more than 10 years ago, though, since a Starbucks (and Blockbuster) now sit on that spot. 'Daddy' never seemed to wash his hands and had what appeared to be permanent crust/rind beneath his fingernails, but that never stopped us from ordering those late night burrito bombs...

I think you're right. I remember munchie-driven donut runs to Arlene's in the mid-70's when I was going to Pali High. Next thing I knew, that space was inhabited by Starbucks, but I did spend the 80's living in Berkeley, and any cravings for cheap Mexican food while visiting the folks in LA were met by trips to Campos at 20th/Pico in Santa Monica, still a fave.

I kept searching and found this link. Thought it was semi-interesting, if a little general in nature ...
