Brunch in Jenkintown

crazyspice Aug 1, 2011 11:25 AM

Is there a nice brunch spot in Jenkintown? I did a search of this board and didn't come up with anything. We have about 90 minutes of free time on Sunday and thought brunch would be a great way to pass the time. Thanks!

I don't know Jenkintown very well at this point but it is only about 3 or 4 miles to "Under the Oak" in East Oak Lane - that where I'd head!

I'm looking forward to reading how it was. I've been wondering how they've been doing lately and thinking about a trip back.

Well, I am glad I thought to call them this morning! They are closed for the month of August.

I just moved back to Elkins Park after being away for about 4 years, and our go-to spot is a solid diner in Abington called Bonnet Lane. Nothing fancy or mind-blowing, but good, consistent food. It's on Old York Road just south of Old Welsh Rd.

West Avenue Grill also does a nice breakfast, but chances are you'll have to wait - the restaurant is small and quite popular.

Great breakfast all day at West Ave Grill.

Which is where we ended up. Simple but delicious, I had their Nova platter.
