Prepared Graham Cracker Crust Pie.............

Do you need to pre cook the graham cracker crust pie shell if you are going to use a strawberry cream cheese filling. I tried to spread cream cheese on a graham cracker crust pie shell right out of the wrapper and the crust broke up. I guess I did not soften the cream cheese enough. What's a good recipe for a strawberry pie using a store graham cracker crust. Thanks.

I don't think you need to bake a store-bought graham cracker crust, but you definitely want to use a filling that is soft enough to be almost pourable or at least spoonable to fill the pie (room temperature cream cheese mixed with sugar and whatever else you want to put in a pie should be fine). You then refrigerate it to get the filling to set back up.

Freeze the crust before spreading in a spreadable-consistency filling.
