Seeking Bar/Restaurant Recommendations for Denver
I'm heading to Denver with some friends in a couple of days, and we want to make sure we don't miss anything that we're gonna hear about later and regret. I'm mainly looking for dive bars and greasy spoon-type restaurants, but really as long as it's not a tourist trap, we're open for any and all suggestions. The older the place the better, and we are staying downtown, but I'm sure we'll travel for a great place too. Thanks in advance!

Herb's, Bender's, and El Chapultapec for dive bars, although El Chapultapec is a jazz bar and Herb's also has live music. (may be cash only)-----

Definite thumbs up for Lincolns. Good biker bar, but everyone goes, yup, and great music sometimes. It's close to DU. Near Buchtel and Washington. Piper Inn is a good biker bar, too - sounds weird, but GET THE Chinese wings! (It's out east - Havana/Parker/Evans.
Downtown - Herb's Hideout, (Lola- across the highway) Wazee Supper Club, as before mentioned - Cruize Room. O - go to Venice for their happy hour in the bar. Awesome food for super cheap. Or go to Sullivan's and sit on the patio - low prices on the small patio menu. Falling Rock is great for 100's of beers. Denver Diner is a really good spot to people watch and grab a bite to eat at 2 am. Have fun!
