Hot Spring/Asheville, NC

Hello Folks!

My dear friend is getting married in Sept. and they'll honeymoon in Hot Spring, NC. (He's renting a cabin for a week)
Instead of the usual gift from the registry, I would like to get them something to complement their honeymoon. Dinner, massage, activity... He already bought a hot air balloon trip but, what else??
A great meal would be great as long as I can prepay for them.

I know this is old, but I really like the Iron Horse in Hot Springs. We live in Madison County and go to Hot Springs for a soak, and then dinner at the Iron Horse.

I've only been to Hot Springs once, several years ago. We ate at a place w/ decent food, right on a balcony overlooking the river, but I googled for you and I didn't come up with anything, I fear it might be closed. Anyone out there know the name of the place I'm talking about? I think they had pizza.

We strolled past Mountain Magnolia B&b, it was pretty, but I didn't eat anything there. sorry.

you could buy them a hot-tub soak at the Hot Springs resort.

That was the Bridge Street Cafe, and they (unfortunately) closed several years ago. The Mountain Magnolia is nothing special, food-wise. I would have to second the hot tubs:

Dinner with reservations at the Admiral in Asheville would be a fantastic gift!
