How Long Before I Need To Toss This Fish?
My husband caught fluke last Monday. It's been filleted in the fridge since then, and I just haven't had a chance to prep and freeze it. Is it too late to do so?
For future reference, when you keep fish in the fridge, be sure to pack it on or between ice if you want to keep it at its best. It needs to be kept as cold as possible. Regular fridge temps are not good enough. (When you purchase fish at the market, always ask for it for it to be packed with ice, usually package of ice around the package of fish.)
