Dinner tonite - le violon d'ingres, good option?

with few options on a Sunday night and looking for perhaps a one star spot, how does le violon d'ingress sound? Weactually stopped in last evenimg when we passed it and made a reservation for late tonite. Yet, we can cancel that. The room looked nice, comfy, but not certainly not over the top.

Other suggestions?

We are looking for updated French - and someplace open.....

Ok, we also see that le Grand Cascade is open this evening, Sunday? I think they have a 85 Euro menu. Is this a better option? Thanks.

If La Grande Cascade is really an option, I think there's no hesitation. Keep Le Violon d'Ingres for another time.
But bear in mind that the 85 menu is a weekday lunch menu. So if you are counting on that for dinner, better stick with le Violon.

We had the 85 euro menu for dinner in September for my hubby's birthday. 3 courses, 2 glasses of wine and all the little extras plus a beautiful room and wonderful service. Go for it!
