Can these pickles be saved?
I made a batch of Alton Brown's refrigerator pickled beets. My husband and I just tasted them and they are sooo vinegary that we don't want to eat them! I'm pretty sure I followed the recipie closely, but cooking with the 9 year old does make things interesting. It's only been a few days, will they get better? If not, can I dump the brine and try again with the same beets or just give up and start anew?
