Tips for Dining, Eating and Food Shopping in Ontario (including Toronto and Ottawa)

Something fun & food-related on a Friday night....Distillery District?!?

I was looking for something fun/unique/cool to do around downtown tomorrow night for my bday. It must involve food, none of the typical clubbing/drinking stuff....does anyone have any recommendations? Someone mentioned the the DD to me, but we won't be able to make it there until 830 - 9PM. By then everything at the DD might be already closed..... does any one have other suggestions??

  1. If you have a car, Ruby Watch Co would be a good choice (20 min walk I think).
Depending on what you're looking for in terms of ambience, there is a Bier Markt on the Esplanade. I have head good things (but never tried myself) about it is the Korean place (swish by Han??) behind the Flatiron building.

    1. Things stay open late in the Distillery on the weekend in the summer. I'm pretty sure even at 9pm you'd have your choice of a few different places... Boilerhouse is open till 11pm, Mill Street Pub till 2a.m., and maybe even Pure Spirit Oysterhouse.
