Great Produce at Bazaar on Cambridge Street

lipoff Jul 28, 2011 09:36 AM

Wandering around Bazaar on Cambridge Street (the Russian/European groccery store in Allston) last night, I noticed just wonderful looking produce, particularly nice scallions, cilantro and dill all right next to each other (and also unusually cheap). Fresh scallions, cilantro and dill are three of my favorites, and I use them often, and yet I find really good ones hard to find. And nothing is worse than bad cilantro!

Yes, I often forget about this, but have noticed the same. They also often have very good lemons for a better price than most places in the immediate neighborhood.

the one in Brookline has beautiful dill and usually very good berries, apricots and cherries.

Great selection for stuff that Russians like to eat. Also they often have produce specials (e.g. berries, clementines) that seem to be end-of-day haymarket stuff, about to go bad, but great value if you can eat it the same day.

          $0.69/bunch, if I remember correctly?
