What is the name of that GOOGIE coffee shop off the 163, or was it the 94?

Very close to San Diego. It is a coffee shop with GOOGIE style Architecture. a long counter and many booths. The menu has so many omelets; maybe 18 or more. The hash browns were moist inside and gloden brown outside. As I parked my car I recall thinking, "Wow, this place is packed. It must be good!" It was and I will be nearby soon and must relive it. Any thoughts of the name? I think it was a man's name like,"Jims" or "Bob's."

    Perry's? Kelth's? Brian's? Rudfords? Johnny's R?

Did you drive past it on the freeway or when you were on a side road?

We have many 'older' counter style places here.

I recall it may be a block or two from the freeway. It was years ago and I followed a Chowhound rec. Those names Perry's and Brian's somehow ring a bell.

Brian's is close to an entrance of 163. It is free standing and has the architecture...Perry's burned down and has been rebuilt, but the old architecture wasn't too Googie.

My Thanks Cathy. I looked at the map and it is right where I recall it to be. It was a free standing building with parking in front and maybe to the left side. I also recall a small arts and crafts of farmers market across the street to the left side on the day I was there. The service was outstanding and so was the food. I will go there on Friday and report back. Again, my thanks.
