Reagle Beagle burger....meh

I don't get over to Coolidge Corner much, so I was looking forward to the opportunity to eat at Reagle Beagle, which sounded like a fun spot. Had the burger for lunch. It was OK, but nothing the least bit special. I know $12 is not outrageous for a burger these days, but geez, for that money I expect something really good, not totally average (and not slightly overcooked: it arrived medium, not medium rare as requested). It came with a choice of fries or salad. I opted for salad, which was lettuce in a vinaigrette. Just lettuce. Is there some other lunch choice I should have made (I almost went for the pork quesadilla)? Or is this Beagle a dog?

Yeah, we've eaten there twice, and while nothing was egregiously bad, there was nothing so good that I want to rush back. And I HATE those two tops on the left of the restaurant. I know you don't have a ton of space, but those things are so close, someone is always bumping into you whenever they get up.

Try Fireplace Grill's burger at lunch. I've found it much better than RB's.
