Two new Knoxville Restaurants
On Sutherland next to Holy Land (which has reopened after storm damage), an Ethiopian restaurant.
On Magnolia, in the location where the lady sold home made tamales for decades, a "authentic Liberian".
Because Mr. Shallots can be a really picky eater, I hesitate to take him to a place where he could refuse to eat anything there. Any experience with either of these?
Mary's is closed.
There was a story in the News Sentinel on line, several hours after my post that said the folks who own the Liberian Restaurant had used her kitchen one year to cook for Kuumba Festival and she approached them about buying the building when she decided it was her time to stop.
The Liberian place is only open (?) Thursday-Saturday, with a to go menu. I hope to try them tomorrow evening.
