Road Food Query: Chapel Hill to Replacements Limited (Greensboro Area)

I am planning a jaunt from Chapel Hill to Replacements Limited, which is, I think, just East of Greensboro off 40. Does anyone have any lunch recommendations? We'll be glad to pull off the highway in search of something good. Thanks so much.

If you take 54 through Carrboro to get to 40 at Graham instead of N. Chapel Hill, you can stop at the Saxapahaw General Store.

There's several places in Burlington, a mile or so off I40/85. Jazebel's at 3281 South Church Street, open for lunch and serves Low Country and Cajun dishes. And there is Prego's Trattoria at 2740 South Church which is a nice red sauce Italian restaurant.

If you like Western Barbeque, you can do Stamey's over on E Lee near the Coliseum. Easy, easy access from the highway.

+1 on Pakse, Giacomo's. and Stamey's. It all depends on what you're in the mood for. Definitely bring a cooler to Giacomo's. I'd also bring one to Stamey's since I usually come home with a few extra quarts of their red slaw.

If you aren't in the mood for banh mi (both recommendations are tasty) you might like Giacomo's.
A bit further N. and W. from Replacements, but within 15 min. probably.

Nice deli, make their on sausages, etc. Bring a cooler!

OT, but if you haven't taken the tour at Replacements look into it. Pretty impressive! Signage once off I-40 is tricky to see for the turn.

If you are willing to drive a wee bit further down you'll be in Greensboro proper where you can investigate banh mi at either Pakse Cafe or Banh Mi Saigon Bakery-- or ideally both as the sandwiches aren't very large. See other thread on this topic:
