Hi Chowhounders,

My work has recently relocated to the Don Mills (DVP) and Eglinton area and I'm looking for some good Asian lunch options. Good noodle, rice and pho dishes as well as any Bahn Mi recs close by would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hmm, You have Congee Queen at Don Mills and Lawerence and I think its Congee Star just a little bit north of Eglinton in the plaza with the Swiss Chalet and Harveys. If you want Canadian Chinese food, I recommend going south on Don Mills near Flemingdon Park, in the same plaza as the McDonalds and I think some grocery store, theres a place called Mulan's, and they have good cheap takeout.

Congee Queen always seems busy, so we thought we'd give it a try. In our opinion, the food was very greasy and not very tasty. They use far too much cabbage as filler & that just sucks. Congee Star, on the other hand, is excellent. Their food is fresh, not greasy, and their seafood dishes are marvellous.

We recently tried Cantonese Delight ( http://cantonesedelight.com/ ) at Warden & Lawrence. It's a far cry from the ORIGINAL Mr. Chop Suey that used to be there, but it's okay. The staff are very friendly, the food is hot, and the place is clean.
