Table 34...what do you think?

I'll be in Las Vegas by myself in a few weeks, and was looking forward to having dinner at Todd's Unique. I would ordinarily have dinner at the chef's counter of Rosemary's, but sadly it's gone. Just called Todd's and they told me that they will be closed in August, and they recommended Table 34 as an alternative. I'm looking for a place where I can sit at the bar or chef's counter (like I did at Rosemary's) and have a wonderful meal with a drink and a few glasses of wine. Todd's sounded great...is Table 34 a reasonable substitute, or is there somewhere else I should go?

Todd's is our favorite restaurant when visiting Vegas; sorry you're going to miss it this time around. (By the way, Todd's isn't closed for the entire month of August -- I think they're on vacation for the first three weeks of the month, for those who will be in Vegas later in August.)
We've enjoyed all our meals at Table 34. It's not as creative as Todd's but is still a solid, enjoyable choice with lots of variety on the menu, and the service has always been very good.
As I recall, the bar at Table 34 is small, with seats face away from the dining room (unless they've reconfigured). You might want to consider getting a table rather than have your heart set on bar seating. But I would recommend it as an independently owned, off-the-Strip alternative.

bocomo has Table 34 properly pegged. It's a good backup to my favorite, Todd's (now that Rosemary's is no more). I'd also advise sitting at a table - the bar seats look uncomfortable and, indeed, I've rarely seen anyone sitting on them. I've taken a table by myself there numerous times and have never felt out of place. If it's still on the menu, I'm partial to the meatloaf there, though Todd's does a damn good meatloaf as well (as a special every now and then). But then, everything I've tried at Table 34 has been tasty and, like Todd's, reasonably priced. Good service, relaxed, pleasant atmosphere.
