Has anyone tried BVI since the "new chef du jour" (Benjamin Knack from Hell's Kitchen) took over? They've gone thru a couple of chefs in the past couple of years - it seened like they were changing every 6 months for a while! It seemed like none of the reviews showed any bad refection on the food - it just seemed like the chefs they hired either got "hired away" by better jobs or had to leave due to family issues, & not due to problems with BVI (which is a good sign). Hope it's as good as it has been in the past - or better! : )

I went this week and I was annoyed with the server!! She asked all in my group (there were 3 of us) if we wanted salad with our dinners... we ALL assumed it came with salad when she asked... but when the bill came it was $8 PER PERSON for the puny salads we received. I was very upset. She should have said "would you like to add a salad" Not just ask and which salad would you like with this?" That implied it was not an upcharge. I would have immediately asked for the manager but I was not the one paying, it was my mother in law, but I could clearly see she was annoyed. This is unacceptable in my book, so THUMBS DOWN to BVI.

      2. haven't been but after reading the menu and hearing good things - I'm dieing to do Mint Bistro on Elm St. - they are back open and I just love love love the menu!!!!

I've heard great things. The sushi is supposed to be excellent and one of the best sellers right now. I can't wait to try it out.
