MSP Mag's Best Restaurant Debates

Just received the August issue that compares and declares winners for many food categories (pizza, wings, sushi, roast beef sandwiches, etc.).

I thought it was a very respectful issue, but the one that really got me was Cossetta's winning for best pizza over Black Sheep (and every other pizza joint in town for that matter.)

No way!

  1. I like how "Best Restaurant" = "Heads Up Single Dish Shoot Out".

I chuckled at Cossetta's. There are certainly worse, but there are many, many better. You can get a better slice at Whole Foods.

WHAT do you MEAN what DAY?????

She means on what day of the week can you get better pizza at Whole Foods. Trying to be cute works poorly on message boards.

Any day Whole Foods is open. At least the one on Grand.

    2. These things always drive me nuts!

      1. Simply based on my experience, if you mean Black Sheep in North Loop, I agree. If you mean Black Sheep at 10th and Robert in St. Paul, then the nod goes to Cossetta's. But maybe they've started to get it right at the Robert location since I was last there.

        1. I'm still a sucker for Cossetta's, but that is mainly due to my love for an excessively cheesy pizza. And I LOVE their sausage.

Still, if I wanted to impress someone, I bring them to Black Sheep every time.
