Rehearsal Dinner in Braintree/Quincy/Boston

Hi everyone! My fiance and I are getting married on March 18, 2012 and we need to find somplace for the rehearsal dinner. We're hosting between 20-30 people and hoping to keep costs down. I know it's still 8 months away, but I'm assuming we're going to need to book it well in advance considering it's on a Saturday and St. Patrick's Day. We have no problem going all Irish since we're both Irish and having a festive dinner, we just need a place that can hold all of us and that we can afford and a place that might allow a private party on St. Patty's Day. Thanks!

Also, are you looking for a private room or are you fine if your party is out in the open where the masses can see you?

You'll need to be a little more specific with your preferences to be able to get good suggestions. Details like...

What is your ideal cuisine? What are off-limits?
What sort of ambiance are you looking for?
What is your per-person budget (both target and max)?
Is anywhere between Boston and Braintree (inclusive) ok?

I don't think the fact that it's St Patrick's Day will cause many restaurants to turn you down. It's more of a bar day of course, unlike something like Valentine's Day.

I don't really have a preference on cuisine or ambiance. We're hvaing a really beautiful wedding, so it's ok if the rehearsal dinner is more low key. I'd like to stay below $40 per person. the wedding is in East Bridgewater, but we live in quincy and are planning on going out for St. Patrick's Day in the city after the dinner with our wedding party, so really anywhere between East Bridgewater and Boston is fine.
