looking for a hearty breakfast near makena/wailea

  • 6

hi hounds,

hubby and i are taking an early morning snorkeling trip to molokini. we will arrive back in makena by about 8:45 am. i'm hoping to explore wailea a bit after this trip but think that a) we might be a bit hungry from our snorkeling adventures and b) we might be a tad early for the wailea shops at that time. so i thought we could bridge that gap by plopping down to a hearty breakfast nearby.

any recommendations for breakfast near makena/wailea?

thanks!!!

      hi juji,

thanks for the recos! was excited about gannons but sadly it's not open until 10 am on weekdays. will add longhi's and five palms to the list.

That seems late for Gannon's, I'm surprised seeing as how it is on a golf course. Duo at the Four Seasons and the Grand Wailea dining room are also a couple of options. I would assume they are open early-ish.

Longhi's and Five Palms do NOT serve breakfast

Actually, they do. Perhaps they change their hours seasonally and have not been open when you visited? But the web sites seem to indicate they serve breakfast week long:

You're right. Probably weren't doing breakfast when last there. Going in a couple of weeks so we'll have to try.
