Celebrating hubby's Bday w/ the Burton exhibit @ LACMA, what's for dinner nearby?

I was thinking maybe Ray's & Stark, but I'm not the biggest fan of Patina Group restaurants, so I'm a little wary. Anyone been?
Is there some place else that you would recommend for a relaxed but somewhat special experience for 2 new parents who never get extended time alone?

  1. Campinile or CaBrea on LaBrea or both good choices. Sonora Cafe also in LaBrea if you want upscale Mexican.

Sonora Cafe closed at least two (probably more like three) years ago. So that option wouldn't work. I like Campanile too, but I like brunch better than dinner. Ca' Brea is a good choice.

    2. I work in that area, and it's kind of bleak. But you're not too far away from Pizzeria or Osteria Mozza.
Also....closer...is a new wine bar called 320 South. It's on 320 South La Brea. Very nice people.
Good food. And lots of wine selections. More on the casual side, but a fun atmosphere.

      1. I would start with drinks at Stark Bar and have dinner at Animal. I haven't eaten at Ray's yet, so that may be fine (and convenient)
