Chic Baby Shower?
Can anyone recommend a trendy and intimate spot to have a baby shower? I was hoping to make it chic and fun without all the girly, kiddie games. Was thinking of the W Hotel POV rooftop but I didn't love their seating arrangement. Any recos?

I think coco sala is a really great suggestion. The food will be fun, the drinks for non-preggos great, and their service is wonderful. I've been with some non-drinking friends before and they have happily made inventive and unique mocktails. I think it is a cool and chic space and will have that pop that you're looking for.
And then, you can say "This has been a lot of fun, and I hope you've enjoyed. I thought we may have one more drink over at the W, because it has a spectacular view of the city. Just be forewarned, that the service is horrible" :)
I'm not sure when you're planning your baby shower, but just remember, it is really freaking hot out and so an outdoor space from now - september may not be ideal for a long leisurely time.

Happy heather you have a great point! I think POV is a cool addition but not necessarily on my dime and for that occasion, so I will plan an evening event where we go OUT there but don't "shower" there. That way we get our DC view. I'm def going to check out CoCo, Source, and Tabard for the occasion. I think one of those should be perfect!! Thank you all... (still taking suggestions if anyone's got em!)

The Source has various options for private dining/receptions. Just click on "private dining" on the left side of the web page.

Great suggestions! I agree with you on the W, they don't really need or want the business. But I really want the place to be awesome. I have people coming in from TX, WA, and FL so showcasing DC's finest is what I'm after. Is there anything else with such an environment?
I love Tabard Inn, but thought that may be too stuffy/rustic for the occasion. Darlington's food is not so hot, and Firefly was where we had our last occasion. I'm going to look into CoCo... that sounds perfect.
Does anyone have any other suggestions? Chic, DC, perhaps new??

CoCo Sala has gallery space, which is pretty cool. Maybe they can even make a mocktail
If it's a dinner, Bibiana has a very cool private space that is worth checking out .I think outside at the Tabard would be so beautiful and it's like a DC institution with.
I think any other place with a view besides the W is more stuffy (Hay Adams, etc)

How many people?
I would stay away from the W simply because of the attitude I personally experienced there that a few other people have seconded.
CoCo Sala is a GREAT idea and they're very helpful - I went back and forth with them about wedding/rehearsal dinner possibilities - they were good to communicate with and the food is SO good. The problem with Firefly is that they do have a minimum.Something else to consider depending on the size of the party is the Tabard Inn.
