Shalala (ramen place), Mtn View review w/ pics

We finally tried Shalala. We ate about 6:30pm on Fri 7/22/11 and it wasn't too busy yet. There's only about 8 tables in the small place in a "L" shape.

We got:

FREE iced water - nice
FREE tiny thing of seaweed - I liked it.
Small bowl of Spicy Miso ramen $8 - just ok for me. I didn't taste the soup, but B. said it was a bit spicy. 2 small pieces of fatty pork thick cut, some chewy crinkly noodles, lots of soup, some corn, bamboo shoots.
B. got a Medium Spicy Miso ramen $9 + $1 more for Extra Bamboo Shoots.
Maguro Poki $5 - small amount of tuna, but I liked it.
Yaki Onigiri 2 pcs for $5 - I liked it, though it's a bit greasy w/ pretty salty tuna inside. Nice crunchy rice I liked.
B. got a cold glass of Sapporo $3.5 they gave the bottle & big mug.

Missed out on trying Ramen Salad - didn't notice it until later.

$31.50 + $2.60 tax = $34.10 before tip. Charged it.

One unisex bathroom in the very back, through the Red Door, to the Green Door.
