Tips for Dining, Eating, and Food Shopping in the Greater Los Angeles Area (including Orange & Ventura Counties and SW San Bernardino County)

Good lunch spot in West Hollywood / Mid-Wilshire

A girlfriend and I are going shopping in the Melrose area tomorrow (Saturday), and since she recently got engaged, I'd like to treat her to a nice lunch. We'll probably be eating around 2pm and it seems like a lot of places are only serving brunch.

I definitely want somewhere that serves drinks and is going to be open around 2-4pm for lunch (or dinner). I'm pretty flexible in terms of price since it's a special occasion but obviously I don't have time to get reservations.

Any suggestions??

  1. Perhaps Cafe Verona on 2nd and La Brea? I don't know if they have many cocktails, but they have wine and prosecco. They serve the same menu all day with the exception of a few items.

    1. It's probably a little late...but you're not that far away from Pizzeria Mozza. And you can often get in at mid day....especially if you're willing to sit at the bar. (which is the most fun.) No cocktails, though....but wine and beer.
