Where can I buy truffles in Pittsburgh?

  • 6

I confess I haven't looked in-depth yet, but can anyone point me to a place to buy truffles (the edible fungus, not chocolate) in Pittsburgh? Would somewhere in the Strip District be the best bet?

  1. I'm wondering if a vendor at the Public Market would carry them? I'm down the strip pretty often and can't say I recall any of the well known stores selling them, but I also was never actively searching for them.

One of the vendors (a mushroom vendor) at the Public Market does carry them. At least they were there a couple of weeks ago, when I was there.

      1. If you can't find any, Costco.com sells truffle shavings.

          1. Try the GE Market District.
