A MUST for Anyone Visiting Alghero, Sardegna

  • 2

My husband and I took a quick trip to Sardegna and just got back yesterday. We enjoyed a breathtaking view of the sea while enjoying a delicious seafood lunch that was reasonably priced (actually, it was cheap considering the location and the fact that it is high season). The food was impeccably fresh, tasty and nicely presented. We ordered:

2 cocktails (local sparkling wine)
1 primo (mussels and pasta)
2 secondi (grilled squid on a bed of wild arugula and cherry tomatoes and Mediterranean sea bass wrapped around a compote of zucchini and carrots topped with saffron sauce and roe)
1 dessert (Sardinian seadas)
1 bottle of very good local wine (Funtanaliras- fruity notes went well with the seafood dishes)

total: ONLY 62,00 euro. Unbelievable. I am so impressed with this place that I had to share it with everyone. Check out the photos. Here is the site:

  1. That sounds great. I am leaving for Alghero this Sunday and am tempted to try this place for Monday lunch. Are there any other places around Alghero that you would recommend?

    Thanks florenceinsider

    1. re: greatgatsby

There is a restaurant with a Michelin star whose name escapes me, but I think it's the only one, right in town. I thought it was great. We also had lunch at the trattoria right next door under the same management, also great.
