Has anyone heard any interesting information about the new breakfast event? Does anyone have the promotional code? Although it already sounds like a great deal for $25 from 11am to 2pm.

Thanks!

Thanks for the information. Are they really only serving pancakes? I was under the assumption that they would be serving pancakes and brunch dishes?

They are mainly serving pancakes, but that includes Vietnamese and Korean Pancakes among others that are more savory...

No I wasn't able to locate the code but I think $25 per person (kids 10 and under are just $10) for all that food is a great deal and it also helps the LA Food bank. I do love Pancakes and this event will sell out.

The thought of eating greasy piles of dough from Quan Mien Trung (in the form of banh xeo) and Kobawoo (in the form of haemul pajeon) that early really puts me off.

BLD's blueberry pancakes? Great as "breakfast". QMT (as much as I love their hen xuc banh trang and bun rieu)? Not so much.

Probably no "pancake police" patrolling the tables forcing anyone to eat the flapjacks they don't want to... ;-D>

I often eat pancakes when we go out for dinner, especially if I've had a hard day and am feeling particularly tired that night.

In the case of Kobawoo, I'm really hoping they are choosing to serve bindae dduk over the seafood pancake, their version is far superior IMO and would pair better with the requisite OJ and bacon.

Apparently Salt's Cure's in. And there's bottomless rum... rut-roh. And there might be "turkey rolls" from 101 Express. (I kid

Just checking again to see if anyone has a promotional code - $25 sounds pretty reasonable, but in my current (unemployed) state it would be great to be able to pay less.

Just got back from the event and I must report back. It was a wonderful, Jonathan Gold was there talking to everyone and enjoying all the great food. What was really nice about this event is they did not over sell it. Lines for food were no more than five minutes at each restaurant and most were even less. Beautiful venue but no air conditioning and it was hot. My favorites were Mayura with a tasty Indian pancake, Dupar's Buttermilk Hotcakes . Playa with a nice pumpkin seed tortilla and fresh mozzarella cheese. Fig with a creamy blueberry pancake. Warszawa's crispy little potato pancakes. Tiara Cafe did a great lemon cream pancake. Xoia with a vietnamese pork pancake. BLD and those wonderful blueberry ricotta pancakes and to top it all off Nickel Dinner's Maple Bacon donuts. Boy am I stuffed. I would love to return next year for the 2nd annual Jonathan Gold pancake breakfast. Sign me up now.

PS.... How about a sandwich event next?

Have to agree - great event today! I got there when the doors opened and the air conditioning was working fine!
You touched on a couple of my favorites - the Playa dish was with burrata - very creamy - and the Tiara pancakes had a lemon sabayon puff - heavenly!
                    Hope they do it again.

John Sedlar was serving for Playa and my son thanked him for making a vegetarian dish so with a big smile the Chef gave him two helpings.
