The Boucanieres of Western Louisiana

Planning another swing through the Deep South.

On a trip through in January I managed to hit Lafayette, La pretty hard.

The supply of meat in the freezer is starting to dwindle however.

I was most impressed by Johnson's Boucaniere in Lafayette where I spent a great afternoon hanging out with Wallace Johnson and his daughter Lori.

I'll definitely be stopping back in to their little smokehouse for a nice supply of meat but am wondering if there are some more places I need to be visiting.

What's your favorite boucaniere in Western Louisiana?

Preferably within an hour or so of I-10.
