Any recommendations to hold an inexpensive bridal shower with delish food for approx 40-50 people in restaurant with a private room or banquet hall? Preferred area -- between Bloomfield/Montclair/Belville area and Woodbridge?

got eppes essen in livingston. Best corned beef and pastrami around. We had two of our kids birthday parties here. They have a private room and its not expensive. It has really turned around in the past 5 years.

The Martinsville Inn is a great place. They will work with any budget.

Carpaccio's in Middlesex is reasonably priced; staff is wonderful; food is good; atmosphere is also very nice. Check it out on the Internet.

I went to a lovely private party at Gencarelli's Cucina on Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair not too long ago....the food and service were equally outstanding. Everyone loved the food....of course, they serve Italian cuisine, so that may be a dealbreaker for you. There were maybe 30-35 people there. Maybe you could inquire about their rates and availabilities. Good luck!
