Per Se Lunch - any difference?

  • Share

Planning on making a reservation at Per Se for a Saturday. I've found it more enjoyable to do big meals like this at lunch rather than dinner. Any reason to think the lunch experience will be less awesome than the dinner? I think we will still do the usual 9 course menu.

  1. Other than Per Se offers a choice of both 9 course dinner menus and a 5 course lunch menu, I think the experience should be just as wonderful. Of course I'm saying that since I just made a lunch reservation to celebrate my mother's birthday.

    1. No difference between the lunch and dinner experience IMO.

      1. The only differences are (1) it will be light outside the windows the whole time, and (2) you are less likely to get smashed.

2nd paragraph says it's $185 for the 5 course lunch.

$295 for the 9-course menu (it's on the website). The 5-course is not shown, but I believe it's $175. Gratuity is included. $40 supplement for the foie gras.

The one time we've been to per se, it was for lunch. A lovely way to spend an afternoon.

          2. I can't really say why but I found my sunday lunch there to be more relaxed than the dinner. It just felt more leisurely.

            1. Lunch is cool.
Enjoy the food, enjoy the low-key service. Maybe take a tour of the kitchen when you're finished.
              Per Se is pretty special.
