Frigo's for great sandwiches. Try the Joe's Favorite if you like veal.
White Hut for franks, cheeseburgers with grilled onions
      Red Rose for Pizza
      Big Mamou for Cajun
Pajer's for the biggest and tastiest subs around
      Theodores for BBQ
Ginger Blossom for chinese. Clean, no buffet.

      Hope that helps.

        Frigo's is great.
White Hut is an icon, worth a visit for a trip back in time.
Cafe Lebanon is a solid Middle Eastern place with a business lunch crowd.
Theresa's Southern Soul Food is good, funky, weird.
The Student Prince - old school German, good, one of a kind.
There's a great Puerto Rican sandwich place I can't remember the name of.
Vinh Chau is solid Vietnamese, I prefer it to Pho Saigon across the street.
        Have a good trip!

I second (or third, rather) White Hut and Vinh Chau or Pho Saigon. I'm also going to recommend that taco truck in the Foodzone suermarket parking lot if you need something less business-y or quick. Plus, if you're traveling solo, eating at a taco truck alone is never uncomfortable/awkward....

@andytee--where is the Puerto Rican sandwich shop? What do you get there?

Hey thanks all for the recs! I've hit the White Hut a couple a few (mostly breakfast version). Is the taco truck at the Food Zone on the same stretch?
Also interested in the PR sandwich too!

No, the taco truck is in Springfield on Belmont Ave (355 Belmont Avenue) It's close to the vietnamese restaurants, though. Probably an 8 min drive from white hut or 5 mins from downtown springfield.

Thank you all for the recs. Especially Bottega Cucina!
Trying to work out a deal, where-in, I pay them to wash dishes and live in back and I'll eat my way though the menu, over and over.
We live, at least, six hours away and I keep thinking about how it actually make sense eat there each day!
