Great, casual bar/bistro?

Hi everyone.
Chowhounder from New York coming to visit with a group for a friend's bachelor party.
Can anyone recommend a great bar/bistro that can casually seat 11 guys but also services great food and is relatively inexpensive?
Haven't booked a hotel yet, so we don't really have any locations in mind.
We're open to anything. Just hoping to not break the bank.
Thanks everyone.
-Sean

It'll be real tough to squeeze 11 guys into Le Comptoir.

Not full dinner but snacks and beer where you could make reservations for 11 (I've been there on a birthday for 8 people):

Or Dominion Square Tavern (full meal):

It is pretty small, but I've successfully made reservations there for a group of 10 with only 2 weeks advance notice. Plus, from what I hear, it is slightly quieter there during the summer, because Montreal in the summer is outdoor season, and they don't have a terrasse.

Holder would be an option. The food is better at Brasserie T, but it might be tough to seat a group of 11 there. Lemeac might also work.

Ive seen groups of over 12...but yes it is pretty small.... but very good price/value and excellent quality.

heres some photos of T and F etc during jazz fest, now less hectic with smaller festivals on horizon.
