Paso Robles dinner for family after day of travel

I've searched the board for Paso Robles recs and many sound delish but I thnk I'm looking for something more low key - mostly I'd like to avoid some chain we'd probably end up at. Mexican is always good but open to pretty much anything. It will be a thurs on the off chance that changes anything . Thanks for the help!

Don't forget the historic Paso Robles Inn - basics - scroll down their menu and see if this might work: http://www.pasoroblesinn.com/dining/i... Nothing wrong with burger and fries in a nice setting for a family dinner out. Steaks are pricey, but they have a lot more under $20.

I haven't had a ton of luck with good Mexican in Paso. I would recommend Basil Thai or if you want Southwestern try Villa Creek.

Both are casual. Basil Thai is the less expensive option.

There is a great Mexican resstaurant in Paso called El Vino. Don't miss the guacamole prepared tableside! :)

There is a good family operated Mexican place called (I think) Los Robles Cafe. It is on east side of Spring St, but I don't remember the cross street.

          It's around 14th or 15th, iirc.

The auto address function added a street address to my post, which seems about right. The place has good green chile (and a great green chile omelet for breakfast) and a real al pastor spit some evenings.
