Jimmy's Food Store (Deli) question for those who get sandwiches there

I have a question about Jimmy's:

The link shows their sandwich menu:

I want to know from people who get sandwiches at Jimmy's, are you only limited to those sandwiches? What if someone just wanted a salami sandwich? Or roast beef sandwich? Or coppa sandwich?

Is that cool or will they refuse or give you a dirty look? I wanted to ask here because at times I find that place intimidating, especially during lunch rush. Also read negative yelp reviews about sandwich order takers.

Thanks in advance!!

  1. You are not limited b/c I have made changes to my sandwiches over the years. You can call ahead and give them your special order. I know Jeff that works the counter would hook you up with what you would want. I would not go in and order a special sandwich during a lunch rush though.

The 'Hounder's right. Just ask for Jeff. He pretty much runs the place anyway. And I've never seen anyone at Jimmy's give a "roll their eyes look" if you ask for something "not on the shelf".
