Pomegranate Restaurant - D.C./Maryland/Baltimore
Have we said enough good things about this restaurant? Potomac, Maryland, suburban Washington. Totally worth the cab fare or car rental to come from downtown. And certainly worth the drive for anyone who lives in Baltimore.
Seriously good food.
Menus change, but the food is consistently first rate.
Service is unprofessional (got order wrong, served some people long before others, had to ask to water glasses refilled). Surprising given the quality of the food.

The thing that was really bad was that the waiters hustled us, pusiing everyone ot order, the announcing that the main courses we had chosen were not available (he said because they are about to switch to a new menu) then bringing the main courses before everyone had finished their appetizer. It was pretty bad. Even though the place was emptyish when we arrived, and half-empty when we left - dinner time, but July.
But the food was fabulous. I'd put up with the waitstaff again. But, how hard could it be to train waitstaff?

This is a great restaurant. we were just there last week, and it was awesome, i agree the waiters are a tad unprofessional, but that didn't bother me. the chef sat down with us for a few minutes, and was really nice to us. And yeah, it's worth the 45-60 min drive down from baltimore, and definitely if you're in the area, I highly recommend it
