I haven't seen babka in Montreal anywhere except Cheskies.

For rugelach a bit closer to the area where you're looking try calling Fressers on Decarie near Cote-Ste-Catherine. I'm not 100% sure if they have them but their baked items are very good. 514-739.4034

There is also a bakery that used to be called Solly's, now called Nosherz, on Westminster that you could try: http://www.nosherz.com

Not in NDG/CSL but Cheskie's!!!! On Bernard corner Park.
Otherwise I'm sure there's somewhere in the Cavendish mall. But nothing beats Cheskie's in my opinion, and while you're there get a challah!
