The Queen, or other good Italian in Brooklyn

Looking to get together with some friends for dinner in Brooklyn. We're looking for a good Italian restaurant. I heard The Queen is a good choice. Anyone been there recently?

I assume you are not looking for a red sauce type place. So, yes to Queen (although it does have a few red sauce dishes). White tablecloth, nondescript atmosphere, conducive to conversation. Excellent food, but stick to the specials.

Other suggestion nearby, Noodle Pudding (cash only, no reservations) a lot livelier than Queen. More rustic cuisine.

Or in Clinton Hill: Loconda Vini e Olii. Very good Tuscan food in a former old-fashioned pharmacy space. A place to take people who want to experience something comfortable but out of the ordinary.
