Rogue States reopened

Rogue States (burgers) on Connecticut Ave is reopened at their original location. I haven't been keeping up with food news recently, so it was a surprise to me when I walked by yesterday. I decided to post after a search of this board didn't show that anyone else had posted about this. In my opinion not as good as Ray's Hellburger but quite good.

  1. They were able to reopen there even after the law suit etc? Hmmmm I wonder what happened.

I'm glad to hear they reopened (even though I didn't love their burger the one time I tried it). They kind of got screwed.

I heard they went through great pains (and expense, of course) to alter the exhaust system to satisfy the plaintiffs.

Geez! I imagine it would cost a lot less money (and possibly benefit them since there are a ton of other burger joints in the immediate area) to find another location.

    2. This is great news--Rogue States was my favorite Dupont burger joint before it closed. I believe they were planning to change the name to "Black and Orange" when they re-opened. Will check it out asap.

      1. They might as well close again. Disaffected service - standing alone at counter unacknowledged in the middle of lunch hour while the place was empty and four employees are an arms length away, pink burger served well done like sawdust, and exorbitant pricing - almost $16 for a burger, fries and a soda. I am not impressed. At least Bobby Flay is opening a new burger place in a week or so.
