How far in advance to make resos? YVR

Hi guys,

My boyfriend and I are planning a trip to Vancouver August 9-14, and I have been sifting through all the informative posts on here to get an idea of where we would like to eat. Off the top of my head we're probably for sure doing La Quercia and omakase at either Sushi Kimura or Octopus' Garden. Wondering how far in advance I need to call to reserve at those places?

For La Quercia, I'd call now and hope for the best. They typically only do two seatings a night, and they fill up quick for the weekend. If you're having problems, ask for the table at the bar, which seats two comfortably, and you get a good view of the kitchen. They tend to be a bit more flexible with seating that table (more a booth) - best of luck.

thanks :) I figured as much, they recently took themselves off open table but when they were on there they didn't have any tables at all and I checked a bunch of times.
