Need Help find a good location for a Baby Shower for about a 100 people in the first week of Sept 2011

Looking for an elegant place - cud be a roof top, terrace, hall,restaurant - to host a baby shower for about 100 people ( incl men, women, kids).

Would like Indian or Indian chinese as the cuisine, good music, open bar pref.

Manhattan preffered or then even Queens .

Lunch or dinner - depends on availability & pricing. Sat or Sun first weekend of Sept 2011.

Looking for an all incl budget of around $30 per head.

Should be a chilled out place not in a hurry to push us out .

Any suggestions for even a place we could rent and get our own catering & alcohol?

So true!!! Viva, you're better off renting a hall and having it catered. Even then, at $30 per person, don't expect the liquor to be included in the price. I do think, however, you can get a nice Chinese or Indian buffet spread at that rate.

Excellent idea!
I also think if it's a Sun afternoon, it's possible you may be able to work an 'in house' deal, incl soda and beer....possibly house wine, but that would be pushing it.
