Help! Dinner for aged 10 & up kids near Time Square Harry Potter Exhibit

We're heading into NYC from CT Monday evening for a gander at the Harry Potter Exhibit in Times Square. I'm looking for a restaurant that will please 4 children aged 10 to 16. These are kids who have traveled quite a bit and know how to behave and are past the chicken nugget phase. Any ideas? One has a peanut/tree nut allergy so I'll need to call the restaurant ahead. Italian is always popular with this crowd. Thanks!

  1. Some ideas for not too expensive eats:

John's Pizzeria -- on the same block as the exhibit

Shake Shack (burgers, fries) -- around the corner from the HP exhibit, on 8th and 43rd

    Szechuan Gourmet (Chinese) -- 39th between 5th and 6th

Thanks Kathryn! We'll also have 4 adults, so I'm looking for a place where I can call ahead and make a reservation. Since our 10-year old is the youngest, it can be on the civilized side. I should have mentioned that we can't have asian because of the peanut oil.

Well, if you do decide to go to John's, note that they are in a former church space and the restaurant itself is very large. You probably won't have trouble walking in with a group your size.

    2. Ended up going to Bond 45. The restaurant was unfussy enough for our lively table of 8, and offered pizza and sliders for the kids, steak for the dads, and cold seafood for the moms. They were also extremely attentive to my son's nut allergy. No complaints.
