What kind of noodles for this Chinese recipe?
Hi, Chowhounders. Was hoping to make this recipe this weekend (2nd recipe down on this link http://m.rockymountainnews.com/news/2...). You'll note it calls for "1/2 pound plain, thin noodles". The Chinese-focused grocery I go to has an entire aisle of noodles! Any suggestions on particular type of noodles the recipe is referring to?

Any noodles will work with that recipe, even your American spaghetti or vermicelli.
Ideally, you'd want the "thin wheat noodles" or something similar that is pictured below. The "thin egg noodles" pictured would also work.
The link does not work for me. Plain thin noodle -- you should use just that. Find one that has no added flavor and find one that is thin. The wonton noodle (dried or fresh) can also works, but it isn't the only one that will work for you:
