Restaurant in the DC Area

I'm going to be turning 23 and I wanted to go to a really fun restaurant and then go out to the bars in DC. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions? As far as the restaurant goes I wanted something quirky with a lot of personality. I really wanted to go to dicks last resort, but that's only in Baltimore. something like that would be good... where its more than just a restaurant. thanks for the help!

May not be what you're looking for, but I celebrated several birthdays at Lauriol Plaza in Dupont. Show up early, get a table on the roof and get pitchers of margaritas. The food isn't gourmet, but the drinks are great, the atmosphere is lively, and you'll be close to bars in Adams Morgan, U Street and Dupont for afterward.

Try H Street Country Club - there's a mini golf course in the restaurant. And Mexican food, though nothing spectacular. But there are a ton of cool bars in that stretch and you can easily hop between them all evening.

Good idea, you might just want to drink there and eat elsewhere.
