Restaurants in Alsace and Lorraine

We will be spending a week in Alsace (mostly) and Lorraine in early September. We have a reservation at Au Crocodile but that's it so far. We will have a car and will be driving the wine route and then perhaps to Nancy and maybe Metz. All suggestions are welcome, especially for Monday nights.
Thanks in advance.

    . . . and here's my report:

. . . during this trip we also visited Nancy (on a Sunday), and since I'm fond of the Flo chain we went to L'Excelsior. If you like brasseries with considerable flair, I recommend it highly, particularly for a Sunday afternoon, since a lot of Nancy seems to congregate there then. It's near the train station (and central parking):

Auberge du Cheval Blanc in Lembach is "the shit" you must go and thank me later, it is close to l'Arnsbourg and half the price but a different style of restaurant.

I know this region does not get much mention on CH. Here is a link to my report from 2009. Hope it will be of some help:

Two places not to miss: L'Arnsbourg, in Baerenthal, and Olivier Nasti's Le Chambard in Kaysersberg.
