First time visitors from Toronto to Denver...we need your help!
Hello fellow chowhounders!
My dragon boat team is descending upon your city to compete in a race at the end of this month and can't wait to discover what Denver has to offer in the way of food! We are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn and will be in town from Friday to Monday and would appreciate some breakfast and dinner recommendations. They will be 20+ people so we need places that can accommodate all of us. We are looking for places with a fun atmosphere and that won't break the bank (max $30 entrees per person for dinner). We have cars and are more than willing to travel for good food. What are some of the not-to-be-missed dining experiences in Denver?
Thanks in advance!

I'd try Euclid Hall for dinner - definitely a fun and unique place, with great food but not "fancy" (in Lodo). I think they could probably accommodate 20 with advance notice.
For breakfast, Snooze is a no-brainer but you're going to have trouble getting 20 people into anywhere for breakfast. Unless... yes, this is what you should do: drive up to Federal and go to dim sum at Star Kitchen. They can easily accommodate 20 people at a couple of big tables and you don't even have to wait for the food.

Hmm close to you. An's Lemongrass Grill is sort of fast food - but really really good - between 16th and 17th - I think on Stout. Anthony's pizza is authentic NY pizza- between 15th & 16th - might be on Stout, too. Along the 16 the street mall - lots of regular decent places. Touristy - but all business folks, college kids and bums during the week. Also, take the FREE 16th street mall shuttle bs all the way to the WEST end. That's LODO - just walk around - tons of good things, Rio (medium Mexican food - but they can accomodate large groups, Gumbo, Sullivans (on the patio or in the bar for special prices - it's a very nice steakhouse), a pretty place for drinks is the Cruise room (inside the Oxford Hotel / McCormicks), or even walk across the bridge to highlands (the bridge has big white structures that look like a ships mast - Sushi Sasa, Brothers, Mona's, the Pizza place down the street from Mona's Lola, VIta, Forest room 5 and o - what is that breakfast places name - it's right across from the west end of the bridge and a good brewery right there, too.

Oops, I missed the "not to be missed party". Sushi Den and Izakaya Den near Wash Park, Domo - close to downtown. Great city views from Lola and Vita and the new brewery down the street. I'm sure you will get more suggestions . . . SOteria de Marco is in Lodo and everything is great, but the cheeses are blow-away.
