This is good news, but how did they get a liquor license when the government was shut down?

I hope I'm proven wrong, but I'm not expecting much from this news.

Call me a snob, but I'd rather have one of their non-alcoholic drinks than the mediocre beer or wine that they'll likely serve there.

Don't get me wrong, I love Quang. I had dinner from there earlier this week. But I see them serving beer from big name breweries and their Asian counterparts, with perhaps a nod to Summit thrown in. And I guess that wine will be of similar quality. I don't believe that their menu pricing supports expensive beer and wine the way that a place like Ngon does.
