Fung's Kitchen favorites?

I confess! After several years in Houston, I'm finally making the trip to Fung's Kitchen again. The menu is overwhelming.

Please help by telling me your favorites! We love seafood, so point me in the right direction. Also, my sister has celiac disease, and has to stay gluten-free. Anyone in the same boat that can recommend choices for her?

Thanks in advance!

And, it's also often recommended by Chinese, so you know it's good.

They have a great dim sum, too.

Aaak! I blame this forum for making me go to these places we talk about! Went tonight and shared the pork joint @$14.95 it was pretty but a little too fatty for me. They were featuring GIANT lobsters at $18.95. They fished one out of the tank and took it over to a table of 6 for a preview and cooking instructions on a big tray. Looked fabulous, but I think the 1-1/2 lb lobsters are probably the most tender and flavorful. It was a spectacle, though. With our fav vegetable dish, the pea shoots, 1/2 order, I ate too much....

LOL! Happens to the best of us! My sister and I were perusing the online menu last night, and wondering about market price for the lobsters, geoducks, and such. We are planning to go with a group weekend after next, but I don't know if I can wait that long.

What did you end up ordering, arashall?

My favorite dish at Fung's and in all of Houston is their Peking Duck with bun. It is the best thing I have ever tasted. We ordered the crispy duck once and liked it a lot so the waitress instructed us to order the Peking duck the next time, which we did and never looked back. But they have tons of seafood options. If you are adventuresome, try the geoduck shell fish when they have it.

Thanks! Sounds like we need to make room for duck :-)

Don't forget the duck tongue with chives.

This link goes directly to the duck section, but you can scroll up or down.

I've never been, but that looks like some serious eats.

It's a vast expanse of good eats, both in restaurant size and in menu size. Like the Disney World of Chinese food. It's a Happy Buddah and Happy Lambsy place.

Not seafood, and I don't know about the gluten thing, but my favorite Fung's Kitchen dish is the Crispy Duck Half, shown here in a photo on somebody's blog:

        Our whole family loves it.
