Is there anyone with a good custard-based recipe for coffee ice cream using ground coffee steeped in the half and half? I thought I saw a recent thread here for one, but I can't find it. Thanks for any help.
I made coffee gelato recently simply by adding a few spoonfuls of instant espresso to the standard mix, and it worked quite well.
Here's one from David Lebovitz that uses whole coffee beans. I've never tried it, but he seems to know what he's talking about when it comes to ice cream. http://simplyrecipes.com/recipes/coff...
I have made this and can recommend it
