Taco Trucks on Eastern Long Island? (North or South Fork)

Does anyone know if there are any taco trucks serving authentic tacos in eastern Long Island? (Not the fancier trucks in Montauk.) Looking for authenitc, affordable and mobile Mexican food on the East End. Any help would be appreciated

  1. Not sure what you mean by "fancier trucks" but the only one out there I know of is Montaco,
    is a $5 taco fancy?

Yes, $5 is super-fancy! In CA where my parents live tacos are $1, and even here in Brooklyn where trendy food trucks are all the rage tacos are still only $2.50 each.

That said: They're tacos are really good. Thanks for the suggestion.

Yes $5 is outrageously expensive for a regular taco but these look more like gourmet tacos.

        2. OK, not a truck, but supposed to be good, and the tacos are $2 each:

I'd say $5 tacos are ridiculous. if they are normal size tacos I would need somewhere between 4 to 6 to fill me. That is $20 to $30 in tacos. Crazy!

... and you're saying this in reply to my post about $2 tacos?

no, of course not, bad placement on my part, I wish chowhound worked like every other message board website on earth where the posts are in order of time submitted. I was saying that in response to your comment asking "is a $5 taco is fancy?"

          2. Cabo Fresh in the shopping center across from Smithaven Mall near the Stony Brook Multiplex theater is not a taco truck but has excellent tacos @ 3 for $7 made fresh and very filling.
